PUZZLE TOURNAMENT
There are five rounds to the Puzzle tournament, of 30, 60, 45, 30 and 60 minutes. These will become available on the 28th and 29th of April, in a schedule published on the UKPA web site. Once they are published you will have 1 week to complete the rounds. Each round can be started at a time of your choosing during that week, but if you take the rounds during the on-site tournament your results will also be visible to on-site competitors.

You will be able to find links to the tournaments from [www.ukpuzzles.org] on the UKPA web site. The same page also has the instruction booklets with descriptions of the answer keys.

SUDOKU TOURNAMENT

Contest Details:
Calculators will have to solve tasks in different categories (addition, multiplication, extracting roots, day-of-the-week calculations) and various surprise tasks.
Only strict mental calculation (no tools, no writing down of intermediate results) is allowed.

Prizes:
There will be several prizes and trophies for the best participants.
In particular, the MEMORIAD Association will sponsor free flights to the MEMORIAD 2012 competition in Antalya, Turkey (http://www.memoriad.com) for the winners in the categories addition, multiplication, square roots and calendar calculation.
(does not apply for participants who have already won a free flight in the MCWC 2010 event and for participants who are not allowed to enter MEMORIAD contests according to decisions of the MEMORIAD Association)

We'd like to announce the unique online "sudokucup" tournament consisting of popular sudoku puzzles. In the tournament you can compare your results to the results of players all over the world.
The sudokucup enables all sudoku players to play top puzzles in competition conditions without leaving home.
The principle of the tournament is simple:

1. Few days before the competition you can download a booklet that will contain similar assignments as those in the tournament.
2. Few hours before competition you can download PDF assignments file secured with a password.
3. On 28th January 2012 (0:00 CET) there will be opened access to the password by which you can open and print the tournament assignments. It will be open for 48 hours.
4. You will be given certain number of points for the solution sent in 2 hours from lifting the password (the solution sent later won’t be taken into account).

The results will be evaluated shortly after the tournament close.

The first set will be available 03.12. (Saturday) at 12:00 (Belgrade time, GMT+1) on our website puzzleserbia.com. Deadline for sending solutions is 10.12. up to 24:00.
The second set will be available 11.12. (Sunday) at 12:00. Deadline for sending solutions will be 17.12. up to 24:00.

Day after deadline for set, all received solutions will be available. Scoring table will be ready within 48h, and next 48h any complains will be considered - author's decision will be final. After that, final results will be published and winners declared.

In finding solutions, or parts of the solution, you may not use the suggestion from any side, including computer programs (a coin flip is allowed). The programs can be used only to calculate result for your solution. For some puzzles we will provide that kind of programs (Delphi for Windows). Lovers of programming are invited to participate in the subsequent analysis.

So, optimize your schedule in a such way that your free time is maximized in early December Wink

We have prepared the inquiry to find out which date of the Sudokucup 6 is the most suitable for you.
The author of most puzzles is Honza Krtek Novotný, with a small assistance of Karel Tesař.
Because summer months are usually devoted to holidays, we've decided to make two competitions. There will be different sets of puzzles, but the type of them will be the same. It means you can take part either in one or in both SC6 competitions in one of the dates mentioned below.
