Hello,

The seven dwarfs unfortunately seem more skilled in mining than puzzle-crafting :

- Sleepy was probably a bit tired when making his irregular sudoku; it has two solutions.
- Happy should learn to wait a bit before expressing his joy : his sudokuro has a wrong sum (2+1+5#10 - however 2*1*5=10, so it wasn't that far).
- Doc has seemingly become overconfident in his knowledge; he should better have checked his multiple-solutions snowflake.

Finally, the muppets show... that they are not really better : although they have combined their forces to make a unique puzzle, this one has exactly twice the number of solutions we wish to see on a sudoku.

On this last puzzle, another remark : the muppets drawn in the grid make it quite hard to write on them; would it be possible to have them be smaller, or maybe printed in grey instead of black on the competition puzzles ?

Hi and thanks again. I'm glad you have a refined sense of humor... :)

The Dwarfs became disobedient and they will be punished.
I insure you that actual puzzles do not have multiple solutions.

As for the Muppets: their pictures are placed in the top left corners of cells. They are big enough to be easily recognized and yet small enough so that you have enough space in the cells to write numbers.

Perfect, thank you for the answer Goran. Do you have an approximate idea of when the rest of the IB will be published ?

A little question:

In Part 2: smurfs, do we gain points for each sudoku solved correctly, or only if both linked sudokus are correct?

In all wsc parts points are awarded for each correctly solved sudoku.

On part 5 :

- You assured me you would keep an eye on the dwarfs, so I guess you are the one responsible for their mistakes from now! Not a big deal, but the rule of Bashful's deficit sudoku appears instead of the one of Fabian's XV.
- Could you confirm that on Alfred's killer, digits can repeat within a cage ? They don't in the example, so I would just like to eliminate any doubt. Same question about Silvestar's sudoku.
- On Amadeus's little killer, nothing is said about the main diagonals but digits do not repeat in them in the example puzzle. Again, to be sure, do you confirm that this rule doesn't apply on the competition puzzle ?

Thank you,

Bastien
