perhaps there is something I do not understand

I have visited the website of the of the championship which says that "Each country can organize two teams, Team A and Team B; each team consists of 4 members". This applies equally to WSC and WPC. I believe this means that each country can send 8 participants in total to each championship.

However if you download the registration form at the bottom of the same page it tells you a different story. This file says :
A: member of the official A-team, officially individual puzzler (max. 4 person in each championship)
B: member of the non-official B-team, non-officially individual puzzler (2 person on the WSC, 4 person on the WPC)

Hence my question: How many players in total are allowed to participate to each championship ?

(is this the first puzzle of the WPC? it is worth at least 15 points... :D :D but so far I am unable to find the solution :? )

Hi Stefano,
thanks for your question. I have checked it with the Chinese team and there it is just an error in the form. Both A and B teams can consist of 4 players so in total 16 people from each country can participate. The form was already corrected.
Should you have any other questions, please let us know.

Grazie e ciao

Hello,
will there be any UN teams in your championship? Especially for those countries having different players for WSC/WPC and they would like to compete in both championships.

Thank you

Dear Vita,
Yes, there are likely some UN teams in our championship. The UN teams’ specification as following: each UN team consists of 4 members, they may come from different countries, or those besides 8 players from same country could join in the UN team, but the result can’t count into the official grade for these UN team players.

Thanks

May

Dear May,
are the UN-team members permitted to compete within their age category (U18 or O50)?

Thanks
Matus

hello Matus,

the UN-team members are allowed to compete within their age(U18 or O50) as well, while another to remind again is that for every single competition 8 players are the maximum to participate from the same country, those besides 8 players could join in the UN team however their result can’t be count in the official grade according to the rule.

Thanks

Hi,

A practical question about the hotel, that may probably benefit many of us: which type of power sockets is in use in the rooms?

Thanks for your answer, and on a side note, for a very promising WSC instruction booklet.

I know there's a post here for the WPC instruction booklet. Will there be one for the WSC instruction booklet?

thanks
