WPC round 13

Postby sf2l » Mon Oct 05, 2015 9:04 am

My printer does not like the diagram of the DOMUNO YIN YANG. (DOMUNO?? )
I imagine there should be a grid of thin lines defining the cells but these are not printing.

Is this a weakest link round?
How does the process of switching between individual and team solving look like?

I will answer you on Wednesday, after our planning session with the hotel.

Another question here. I assume this round will be solved by placing actual domino tiles on a grid. Will we be allowed to make notes?

Yes, but only actual tiles will be considered.

What means "Every double must cover exactly one shaded cell" ?

I answer myself to my question. I should have waited another 10 minutes.
The double means a domino with the two same values (2 2 in example).

Sorry about that. At least if someone else has the same question, here is the answer.

But does every shaded square have to be part of a double? This is true for the example.

Yes, it has to.
I'll rephrase

There is no grid of thin lines defining the cells. I believe you have to figure out for yourself how the cells are divided into dominoes.

The example uses two sets from 0:0 to 5:5, with two (unspecified) dominoes unused. I have solved it and I believe the answer is unique.
