Skyscrapers LTD.
It seems n = N?

Illiterate Loop
The forbidden sequences seem to have a duplicate, I suppose the first BAC should be ACB. More importantly, why is it not a valid solution if you draw a loop that's interrupted in the bottom two rows between columns 2 and 3. The sequence of letters is AAABBCCC.... I interpret the rules to say that "(length of word) letters along the loop are never an anagram of word".

TRIPOD CORRAL

"Each cell that has exactly three shaded orthogonally adjacent cells is marked with a circle. "

It is allowed to be cells with 4 shaded neighbours?

Illiterate loop:

CAB is forbidden, but I see a CAB(/BAC) in the loop.
Also, what is the significance of the arrows?

All digits will be in cells with a circle.

I think I figured out why your question confused me: Those "arrows" are capital As.
